4. Heartless by Marissa Meyer

The next three books I started reading a while back but haven't picked them up for months. I do really want to finish them soon! Hopefully this year!

Top Ten Tuesday: My Ten Favourite TV Shows of All Time

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers post their top ten on a previously suggested topic. This week's topic is related to TV shows!

There are sooo many TV Shows I love! I do have some favourites but I feel bad leaving others out of this list. Therefore, I'm going to list the first ten of my favourite shows that pop into my mind.

As a teenager I was obsessed with the following shows, and I mean, really obsessed, so obsessed it is embarrassing today.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I loved Buffy! It is still one of my favourite shows ever and I would be obsessed again if they would decide to make another season. My favourite character is hands down Spike. I am even contemplating buying the boxset!

2. Charmed

Witches are probably my favourite of the magical creatures in books, movies and TV shows. Because of this show I started looking for those books, etc.
My favourite character was probably Cole because I don't think I watched the episodes after his exit from the show. Or at least, the first four seasons were the best! Loved all of the characters but always preferred Prue to Paige.

3. Veronica Mars

Kristen Bell is amazing! Do I need to say more? Favourite character: Veronica! Logan comes close as well.

These were the three shows that my fourteen year old self was crazy about. The following TV shows are mostly from after my high school years:

4. Friends

I started watching Friends because a teacher at university explained almost everything by referencing Friends. I hadn't seen the show and therefore had trouble following the class. So I needed to remedy that, and I'm sooo glad I did. Since then, I also got my brother to watch it with at all possible times of the day. Favourite character: Chandler!

5. Sherlock

This is one of the best TV shows ever! It's simply brilliant! If you haven't watched it yet, what are you doing with your life? Go see it right now! Favourite characters: Watson and Moriarty (and of course Sherlock as well).

6. Happy Valley

For fans of Fargo directed by the Coen brothers only grittier and darker. A six episode series with fantastic acting, a nail biting plot and an intriguing family. A must see! Favourite character: Catherine Cawood

7. Once Upon a Time

I love this show even though most episodes seem to lack something for me. I didn't care for the Frozen storyline at all and the villains should be more scary and not give up so fast. Snow White gets really on my nerves though. Favourite character: Hook (Regina is the second)

8. The Mindy Project

For some reason I stopped watching this year, probably because I've been reading a lot more, but I loved this show and couldn't wait for the next episode! Favourite characters: Mindy, Danny and Peter.

9. Community

I love the seasons before Glover left. They are the best! I couldn't get "Troy and Abed in the morning" out of my head for ages! And those are my favourite characters as well!

10. Gilmore Girls

I only started watching Gilmore Girls after Netflix announced the continuation of the series and I absolutely fell in love with it! I want a mom like Lorelai! I'm currently watching season five but so far I don't really like Logan. For all his mistakes, I think I like Jess the most. Marty would have been great as well. I love all the characters of this show deeply but I have to specifically mention Michel, every time he's on screen, he makes me laugh. I believe this show is my ultimate feel good show and I can't recommend it enough!

Stacking the Shelves: Birthday and Boekenfestijn Book Haul

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Each week bloggers post the books they purchased or received.

As I only got a couple of books for my birthday, I'm combining this Stacking the Shelves with books I bought at a fair for cheap earlier this summer.

1. The Rose and the Dagger (The Wrath and the Dawn, #2) by Renee Ahdieh

My lovely friend Sarah got me unexpectedly a book for my birthday and I loved it!

2. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

My parents got me two classics for my birthday!

3. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

I also got myself two books:

4. And I Darken (The Conquerors Saga #1) by Kiersten White

5. Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1) by Jay Kristoff

This is by far the most beautiful fantasy book in hardback I've ever seen! It's stunning! I normally buy paperbacks but I actually found the hardback cheaper and I'm soooo glad I did! It's gorgeous! Currently reading this one and really enjoying it!

The next part of the haul, I got at the fair: Boekenfestijn. It's a fair that tours Belgium and the Netherlands. Usually I find some books I'm interested in but otherwise wouldn't have bought. This time around, however, I found a lot of books I actually have on my to be read list!

6. In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters

I was lucky to find this in hardcover because it is gorgeous! Hopefully, I'll find the time to read it soon!

7. Lips Touch: Three Times by Laini Taylor

Hardcover as well.

8. Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse

This was strictly a cover buy; hardback as well.

9. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

10. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen

I also mainly bought this because of the stunning cover, however I like fairy tale retellings and have been searching a good Hook retelling; any recommendations?

11. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

I've heard great things about this one!

12. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

13. Ivanhoe by Walter Scott

14. The Castle by Franz Kafka

15. Empress (Godspeaker Trilogy #1) by Karen Miller

I don't know anything about this book but I've heard good things about the author!

Book hauls always give me mixed feelings. On the one hand, I love talking about the books I got. On the other hand, I thought I had been restraining myself with regard to buying books, however, book hauls make you see how many you actually got. I do have to say the book fair was in July :) And the books at I bought at the fair were all cheaper than five euros, even the hardbacks! I couldn't miss that opportunity! :)

Have you read any of the books mentioned above? Which books did you get recently? Leave your thoughts down below!

August Wrap Up

I read seven books this month and a couple of novella's. I haven't been blogging much this summer because of exams and papers and a huge reading slump and such but I've collected my thoughts on most of these books and will be reviewing at least four of them in the near future!

1. The Billionaire Bachelor by Jessica Lemmon

This was a fun romance novel and I was just in the right mood for it! Really enjoyed it and would recommend it if you're looking for a fun romance! 3 stars.

2. I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios

I don't often read YA or New Adult romance novels but I decided to give this one a try. I really enjoyed it! The characters are awesome! However, Josh's actions got on my nerves one too many times and therefore I'm giving it 4 stars.

3. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

I had some problems with this book and I will discuss them in a review later this month. And I hate it when my favourite character dies! 3 stars.

4. Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard

This is a collection of two novella's that didn't really add anything to the series but where okay to read. Especially since Mare is one of my biggest problems in Glass Sword. 3 stars.

5. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling

I'm still going to review this book even though everyone has probably already read it. 3 stars.

6. The Wrath & the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

Loved this one! So much! 5 stars!

7. The Mirror & the Maze (The Wrath and the Dawn, #1.5) by Renee Ahdieh

This was a very short novella and I got it as a free e-book on kobo.com! 3 stars.

8. The Moth & the Flame (The Wrath & the Dawn, #0.25) by Renee Ahdieh

This was a longer novella and I really enjoyed it! 5 stars!

9. The Rose and the Dagger (The Wrath and the Dawn, #2) by Renee Ahdieh

Man, this contained some plot twists I really did not see coming! And such sad moments as well! I believe I cried a little...
Also, my amazing friend got me this as a birthday gift! Once again, Sarah, thank you so much! I loved it! 5 stars!

10. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

I also have some remarks on this book however it was such a quick read despite being 400 pages. 4 stars. Review to come!
